Here we build on the previous tutorial and also use the example from the tutorial "What are variants of products?"

How to add a variant to a document?

Now that the most beautiful shoe in the world and its variants have been created in the catalog, we are going to offer this shoe to one of our customers in a quote.

Tip The process now explained for a quote is identical for sales orders, invoices etc.

So you create a new quote and add content to the quote via one of the actions "Article from catalog" or "Article from catalog in bulk".

As you can see, only the main article is displayed in the search function. This way we keep the catalog more limited and faster to use.

After adding the main article to the quote, you can now use the second dropdown to select the variant of the product. Here we get to see all our sizes and can select one of them.

Here you can select that the customer wants, for example, the most beautiful shoe in the world in size 40 for this quote. By using the pencil at the end of the description, you can also change this variant if necessary.
